Thanks to everyone who came on Wednesday! It was so much fun! I especially enjoyed the YUMMY treat that Liz brought! She sent me the recipe today and I can’t wait to make some! And since I know that I’m not the only one who was hoping that no one noticed how many I ate, I thought I’d share the recipe with you. Haha! I wish I had a picture of them but once again I forgot to take any that night! Oh well, maybe next time!

Cake Bites

Shells:
1 cake mix ( Liz used spice cake last party)
1/2 cup of butter
1 egg

Mix these ingredients together with an electric mixer. turn the oven on to 35o degrees. In a greased mini cup cake pan, fill each hole a third of the way full and bake for eight minutes. Remove them from the oven and immediately take a bottle cap and punch down the middle of your cupcakes. Let them cool for fifteen minutes then pop them out. (Makes forty eight mini cake bite shells.)

Frosting:
Cream cheese frosting
1 package cream cheese
2 cups of powder sugar
2tbs milk

Mix together and add to the middle of your cake bites.

The best thing about this recipe is that, just like jewelry, you can always try different cake mixes and different frosting to make something unique!

Enjoy,

:) Sherry~

:) Sherry~

I hope you all had a great 4th of July holiday! The weather was so perfect – not too hot, not too cold. It was such a nice surprise since it’s usually sweltering hot for us in July!

Thanks to a custom design request from an Etsy customer the other day my creative juices started flowing and I made a fun new necklace that I wanted to share. This was made as a gift for a preschool teacher. But would also be a fun “mommy necklace” or “nursing necklace”.

What is a that? A nursing necklace is to be worn while (you guessed it!) …nursing. A nursing necklace aids in reducing pinching, pulling, distractibility and other common busy baby problems! Pretty clever, huh?

A lot of people come to my bead parties mainly to make interchangeable watch bands. But maybe this will inspire some of you to step outside your comfort zone and try something new!

Remember that my next BEAD SHOW is a week from today on July 14th!  I have lots of fun new beads. So, be sure to come check them out! Can’t wait to see you all there!

:) Sherry~

I just want to say thank you to everyone who came to the show. It was a great success and so much fun! I can’t wait to do it again!

And I’d especially like to thank my awesome friends, Jenica & Laura, my Mom & Dad and my son Kade for all the hours of help they put in to help me get ready for it. And thanks to my sweet husband Rick for believing in me and offering me unconditional love and support in my new venture. I couldn’t have done it without you guys! You’re the best!

My next show will be July 14th. So, start spreading the word to all your beading friends. And remember to sign up for my mailing list to the right so that you’ll get a reminder email.

Well, I’ve been working my tail off getting ready to share all my beads with everyone! And on Friday I went to a big bead trade show in Salt Lake City. It was super fun and I got some awesome new stuff!

So, my first wing ding (open house to be more precise) is this week and everyone is invited to come! Here’s the details…

Date: Wednesday June 23rd

Time: 5:00-9:00pm

Place: My house – 461 South 50 East, Smithfield

I hope you will all come and join in this fun addiction with me! Haha! You can NEVER have too many beads! See you Wednesday!
